Krista Hakala, Founder of Meio an experienced marketing professional, gradually developed a keen interest in SEO as she ventured into entrepreneurship.

After nearly ten years as a partner in a digital marketing agency, Krista embarked on a new journey in January 2023 when she founded her company, Meio. “The business practically launched within a week,” she recalls. “Initially, I did a bit of everything, helping clients with various tasks, all while figuring out what I truly wanted to focus on.”
Krista’s interest in SEO had already been piqued over the years. She had gathered bits of knowledge from guides and other resources, but with Meio’s launch, she knew SEO would be crucial to the company’s success. “Meio's website was completely new, and the industry was highly competitive, so I wondered how on earth I could get the site to rank better organically on Google,” Krista explains.
That’s when she came across Jutta’s content around the same time. “I reached out to Jutta about SEO, and soon enough, we were having a meeting on the subject— that’s when it clicked for me: I absolutely wanted to master SEO comprehensively and offer SEO services to my clients moving forward.”
Delving into SEO was the best career decision

From the start of the course, Krista began working on Meio’s website, and results came quickly. "When the new, only a few-month-old site suddenly started appearing on Google’s first page for relevant keywords, it was amazing!" she exclaims. Her existing clients were also thrilled, as Krista could now offer them more advanced SEO expertise and achieve better results.
SEO strategy as a growth engine
The GWS course has had a significant impact on Meio’s business. "I don’t know where Meio would be right now without this SEO insight because it gave the company its direction, and the possibilities now seem almost endless,” Krista reflects. Optimizing clients’ sites brings incredible results
Krista has been optimizing various websites and e-commerce platforms and managing full-scale site redesign SEO projects. “These are probably my favorite projects—working with older sites that haven’t been updated in years and then rolling out a major overhaul.”
Optimizing Meio’s own site has been a particular point of pride for Krista: “Getting a completely new site to rank well is always a challenge, but I’ve focused on optimizing content and building authority.”
Initially, the business could only be found on Google by searching its name. Now, the site ranks on the first page for over 50 relevant keywords, with more than 20 of them in the top 3. This success is directly reflected in increased traffic and client inquiries. "Focusing on organic visibility has added so much value in such a short time, I can’t wait to see how far I can take Meio."
Understanding SEO ties all digital marketing pieces together
Krista describes the course’s impact as empowering and inspiring: "The most surprising thing was realizing how much SEO truly affects every aspect of digital marketing.
